While sorting cards today I’m watching the Ken Burns Baseball program that I recorded last night. This one covers 70-93 I think which was the era when I was most into baseball. Brought back many great memories while I sort through these little slabs of cardboard. Looks like the mid 90’s are covered tonight if you have the mlb network and would like to watch.

It's also available on Amazon Prime. I watch episodes every now and then.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I was given a box set for Christmas a couple of years ago and re-watched the series in the Spring before going to Cooperstown for the first time in over twenty years. Great series!

I hope Burns addresses the junk wax debate!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

There are a couple others with advertising too. A General Motors, and another that may have been in some sort of snack cakes. They may be listed as inserts to the main set. I know they use the same photos but aren't full sets.

Yeah I enjoyed them too. I have the whole GM version somewhere. I think it is nine cards. I watched the whole series the first time it aired, but haven't rewatched all of it since. Very good show, and good cards too!

I love the vibe of the Ken Burns baseball documentaries. I already owned The Tenth Inning, but found a reasonably priced box set of the original nine inning series on DVD just a few months ago. I wish all major sports had all-encompasing retrospectives like this one.
