Indianapolis Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson died in a car crash today.  He was 26 years old.  I never heard of him, but I went to check for any cards of his on here and was surprised that he didn't have any cards.  He was in the league since 2015 and played for the Colts and before that was on the Cardinals during the 2015 preseason after going undrafted.  It seemed his career had a few hiccups including spending this past season on injure reserve.  He was on the side of the road with another car when an alleged drunk driver hit them and tried to flee the scene.

R.I.P. Mr. Jackson, you sounded like a nice guy and I'm sure many people are feeling this loss tonight.

First of all R.I.P. I hope his family can somehow find comfort.

Second, as a Police Officer, nothing, I mean nothing drives me more insane than a drunk driver. (outside of the capitol offenses). Its as easy as calling for a ride or planning ahead. It really sucks when you have to make a death notification when its something that could have been prevented!!!

Very sad and horrible it was from a drunk driver. My first thought was of Edwin Jackson the Baseball player.

That really stinks. I wish people who did that got charged with murder. 

Yeah, at first I thought it was the baseball player as well.  Watched him throw a 2,000 pitch no hitter for the Dbacks.  

In Florida it is vehicle manslaughter. Minimum 15 years. Typically the judge will issue 25 years.
