We have 2 different Mark Ingrams here. The one who played in the 80s-90s, and the current one.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster. |

They are Father and Son and Sr. and Jr.. Maybe they could be differentiated that way?? |

Ive been working on splitting players with the same name on the baseball side of things. Unfortunately I had it confirmed from the admin that the only way to split em is to created a 2nd PID and then manually edit each card one by one. So its going to be a time consuming process

I forgot they were related until you mentioned it Lungman. Sr. and Jr. makes the most sense. Mighty Ox, do I have the ability to create this new PID myself? I don't mind editing each one if I am able. I haven't created a new PID before, but I have changed many erroneous PIDs. Lungman00 wrote: They are Father and Son and Sr. and Jr.. I think if you can edit names you can create. new PIDs.
I stink at giving instructions lol.. so if this doesnt make sense let me know
You would need to go into one of the cards of the player you want to change, either Sr or Jr. To decide which one you want to use for the new PID, I would choose the one that has the less cards. Edit the name to Mark Ingram Sr (or jr.. which ever) and save. Now select edit name again. The box for "Linked to PID" should now be empty and "add new name" should be on the right. Just click on that and add the name and it will generate the new PID.

Your instructions made perfect sense Ox. I got the new PID for Sr. Now do I want to manually change the name on every card to say Jr. or Sr., or leave them as Mark Ingram as they are printed and just make sure the PID is correct?

You just need to change the PID. So its up to you if you want to do the extra step of sr and jr. It will add more time to the effort if you do. |

OK thanks. My next question: I created Sr. for the new PID as he had far fewer cards. That left Jr. as plain Mark Ingram. How do I change the name associated with the original PID from Mark Ingram to Mark Ingram Jr.? Not on the individual cards, but on his name in general? (This should be my last question)

Actually I have this question into the admin right now in regards to the baseball player Im working on. I found out the updated PID isnt showing in search results or with the new name. So I dont know if he does something behind the scenes or not. Ill get you the answer when he gets back to me. |

OK, I've been changing the name to Sr. rather than chaning the PID, and doing so automatically changes the PID too. Two birds with one stone I guess.
