Josh Adams Forum

Also posting this, but in a different thread.  The cards listed under this PID are of two separate "Josh Adams." However, when I go to create a new PID to break them up, I can't. I have the level 3 permissions. Here is what I've tried.

Turn Editing On

Edit Name

Then all I am given is the "edit name" box, the option to "clear PIDs" (which I tried but didn't seem to work), the "linked to PID" box, and the option to return to the card.

Am I missing something here? I even went back and took the level 3 permissions quiz again and refreshed the page to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Thanks.  I think I made a few too many entries, as I'm seeing some funny stuff. That's what I was trying to do. I also sent a message to vrooomed to see if he could look at/fix any of my mistakes through the process. I'll wait and see his response before I try and do anymore name editing!

Yes, the trainer in question in the other thread was actually named John Adam and not John Adams. The PID's for the two John Adams were deleted.

The thread links to the home page because the PID that it was posted under was deleted. It's happened before.

Billy is correct.  I had an hour or so to kill before class and went to add some birthdates for baseball. John Adam was a trainer in the Brewers organization; I came to him first, and discovered that it appeared to be the same guy, so I started a thread for that.  It has been resolved.

The Josh Adams incident was explained to me by Dan, as he stated that everything look okay, and perhaps I didn't give the site enough time to refresh.  SunDevilCollection also helped straighten things out as well. It has been resolved as well.

I was hoping that two different threads may help things not get confusing, but I confused myself even in the process.  Whoops! Thanks to everyone for your help. I'll have to try the other way of separating names next time it comes up.

That was me! I deleted the Josh Adams PID as it became empty when I combined the 2 PIDs into 1 PID for Josh Adam. I forgot about that or I would have moved that thread to Josh Adam before deleting the old PID. Sorry about that folks!
