2016 Topps Update Baseball Forum

I haven't yet. I have a feeling they aren't just going to take my word for it. I imagine, if they are going to compensate me, it will be with an online coupon for the Topps store, which I really don't have any use for. It's worth a try I guess.

Surprisingly, my Walmart had some.  I bought a blaster box.  Some cool looking inserts.  Got three Cardinals, which are three Cardinals I needed.  I don't like some of the all-star cards, which are a picture of a group of players standing together, with one player named on the front and it is his card.  If a collector didn't know many players by their face, they would have no idea which of the players was the subject of the card, since they are in the matching home run derby jerseys.  I'll do my breakdown too, in case anyone else is undecided about a blaster box:

101-card box (ten packs plus bonus medallion card)

Base: 80 (no dupes) / Rainbow foil: 1  / Gold SN2016: 2  / 500 HR Futures Club: 5  / First Pitch: 3 (including AUBREY PLAZA -- woohooo) / Walmart Exclusive Rookies: 2 (Jon Gray in 1991 design, Blake Snell in 1992 design) / Topps Fire: 2 (looks like paint splatter -- pretty cool)  / 3000 Hits Club: 2 (Musial, Ripken) / Team Franklin: 1 (Photo is Abreu, back is a short write-up about him and an advertisement for Franklin batting gloves)  / All Star Game Access: 1  / Ichiro Chasing 3K: 1 / 500 HR Futures Bronze Medallion: 1 (Justin Upton)

I have the Aubrey Plaza card as well. She's a cutie indeed.

AnalogKid...I would definitely contact Topps about your missing hit.  I have done so in the past and they will send out something, usually within two weeks.  It will likely be on of the All-Star Stitches card from the set, as they seem to be the easiest of the hits, but it's something.  They have an online form to fill out with all of the instructions on what you need.  It isn't exactly easy, but if you want your hit it is worth it.

I was just looking at the instructions. It is a pain in the butt. Something is much better than nothing though. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Billy...do you still need the Sager card?  I have one for you if you need it.

I sure do! Not a lot of baseball to trade but I've got lots of other stuff available
