Please Please Please read my profile before making a trade proposal. My "wants" for my Cardinals collection is accurate from 1900 - 2008. I still have about 12,000Plus Cardinals cards from 2009-present to sort through and enter. Please do not offer any Cardinals cards from 2008-present unless you contact me first as there is a chance I already have it amongst the multitude to still go through.

I still have about 30K Cardinals duplicates that are not yet entered in the database as FS/FT.

Yes.

I think I'm in a minority, but I always thought reprints should be listed with the year of the original set. If I'm looking for a 1940 Play Ball reprint set, how would I know to look in 1986? I think listed in 1940 under the "Reprint" section as "1940 Play Ball Reprint (1986)". And all those Larry Fritsch reprint sets are in continuous printing, as needed. How do you put a single year of release on them?

I agree with C2, I believe they should be listed under the year of the original set under Reprint ------------------------------- Trying to acquire one card for every for every set, insert, parralle, minor, euro, team issue, oddball etc sets produced for Hockey. Been an interesting project.

What distinguishes a legitimate reprint from an outright fake?

I would think that a legitimate reprint would carry a copyright date from the year it was actually printed in. If that is the case, then it seems like the 1986 listing would be appropriate.

Unfortunately there are no images uploaded yet, so I can't see if reality matches my perception.
