For sometime I have been researching the 1992 Ballstreet set, trying to come up with a checklist. I have finally hit a brick wall. I cannot find cards #41-50, so I finally decided to upload the checklist with those cards listed as "tba." They should be the cards in the September/October issue for 1992. I am hopeful that someone out there has some of those cards and can help complete the checklist. Also, if someone has any insight into this set and wants to proofread my checklist, I'd appreciate it, as I had to make a couple of assumptions (although I think they were reasonable assumptions.) Thanks in advance.

I just looked into this, and my opinion is that it's the ten NNO Olympics cards that don't say Update on the back (listed as a separate set on this site). These ten cards were issued in Vol. 2 No. 5 (Jordan USA cover) which would follow the sequence (cards 51-60 are in Vol. 2 No. 6). The Laettner, Drexler (2 late additions to team), Magic action card (picture taken later than others because Olympics didn't start until late July), and Shaq draft photo all say Update on the back. Maybe they were a mail-in offer like the Skybox Drexler & Laettner cards. I can't prove my theory, but it seems logical. There is no evidence of any cards with those ten numbers, and this was apparently the only magazine put out between the one with card 40 and the one with card 51.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I appreciate your hard work on this. Your theory makes sense to me. I thought it was strange I was able to hunt down all those cards but I never saw one from 41-50. Would it be proper to ask admin to delete the tba's for those numbers and have the checklist skip those 10 and have #40 followed by #51?

Issues 7-12 each have 10 unnumbered cards and the special Olympic supplement had 4 cards for a total of 64 more for 1992.

Thanks! The TCDB community is the best. I'll add #41-#50 with USA for the team as soon as I have a chance. If anyone wants to tackle the 60 card unnumbered set feel free to do so. It is my opinion that that set should be listed separately. Thanks again!

(I just corrected my first post to include the card I missed in the first list)
If there is a second set for the unnumbereds, what should it be called? I think it should be part of the whole set. I can see if I have this list typed out somewhere and post it.
Also, I think it would be very helpful for people who might want to get their hands on some of the cards to list, somehow, what issue they each are contained in. Maybe each issue should have its own set.

I think a set listing for each year is appropriate, especially if the set is numbered that way. The Issue/Volume & Number is good information that can be captured in Trivia, User Comments, Release Notes, or Note 2.

All the cards mentioned above are from 1992. We were wondering if the numbered cards and the unnumbered cards should be listed in the same set (1992).
Maybe the Issue could be in the form of a note, since the last 64 cards are NNOs.

Nice work Sousafly! Do the numbers actually appear anywhere on the Olympics cards? I couldn't see numbers in scans when I was researching this. But you have the actual cards to look at. I don't.
