2017 Panini Diamond Kings Baseball Forum

I'm not a fan of the exclusive thing either. Back in the day I liked a lot of the Pinnacle and even Upper Deck cards.  Donruss and Score weren't my favorite brands either but I collected them because they were available. I even liked the oddball unlicensed sets if they were small. I'm just not sure I would intentially buy the Panini baseball offerings.

MLB has exclusive rights on professional baseball right now.  NFL has it for football.  NHL has it for hockey.  Is this okay?  Should another company rise up to challenge them?  They each have the monopoly on their sport.  Independent leagues don't even come close.  Kids don't grow up wanting to play independent league baseball; they want to play in the MLB.
