Looking to verify teams for this set and its inserts. This is the only card without a team verified in the Passport insert set. Should it be no team like it already is since there isn't one listed? Should it be the Browns because that's who drafted him? Or should it be Notre Dame (my vote) because he is in his combine outfit, thus a pre-draft picture?
As always, thanks in advance.
Jason
Edit: Forgot to link to the card; d'oh!
Edit #2: This card comes from an insert set that has every other team listed as the college. However, the other cards also appear to have the college logo on them. I believe I read somewhere that Upper Deck retained the license to Notre Dame, while Panini got everyone else. So is that what is happening here?

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

For the Passport card I too would go with Notre Dame. Partly because all the other cards in the set seem to be associated with the College Team rather than the NFL draft team.
The Big Board card I'd say the same thing.
Man I really do not like the trend of an NFL draft product showing the players in their College Uniforms and making no mention whatsoever which NFL team drafted them. OK some of them go Free Agent but still it annoys me. Maybe if I were actually into college football I wouldn't mind but I am not, never have been. Except for maybe rooting for The Terps.

If there is no team on the card, shouldn't no team be selected then? Or have I been completely wrong about this?

Well that's where I'm confused. Because I suppose by guidelines there should be no team. But the player on the card, especially an active player, is usually associated with some team at the time.
However, one could make the argument that Kizer was no longer a Notre Dame player at the combine but had yet to become a Cleveland Brown, so he was between teams and thus without a team as well.
I listed him as Notre Dame just to satisfy myself but understand if I need to go change it.
I guess the way I view it (and I know this is a personal thing and different for anyone) is that if I were a Notre Dame collector (not yet, that's a 2018-2019 goal), would I want this card for my Notre Dame collection? And my answer would be yes.

The NFL Combines are held in April while the players are still in college.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

No, I understand that. But technically, by participating in the combine, haven't players forfeited their amatuer status at that point? That's what I was referring to; if he was no longer an amatuer athlete, he was no longer a part of Notre Dame's football team, despite still being enrolled at the school.
However, that does bring up another point/argument. He was still a student there at the time...

Did I say April? I meant February.
No they don't forfeit their amatuer status. The scouting combine is just an easy way for all NFL team scouts to see all the players at one time in one place. Invitations are sent to players who's NCAA eligibility has expired (seniors and underclassmen who've declared).

Hmm. I didn't realize that. I thought that it would cost the players their eligibility. Learn something new every day!
