Just got an order from Panini that contained a few of the Panini Instant football cards I ordered. This order had 5 of the base set Josh Gordon cards (#111 - http://www.tradingcarddb.com/ViewCard.cfm/sid/156458/cid/10485183/2017-Panini-Instant-NFL-111-Josh-Gordon?PageIndex=2) as well as one of the Green parallel. Bought these as gifts for some Browns fans on my Christmas list. I know that the Green set was advertised as individually numbered out of 10 (I got #1 of 10).
When I looked at one of the cards from the base set, I was surprised to see that it too was numbered in the space on the back (box at the bottom). That card was numbered "1 of 58". I then noticed that the other four cards were ALSO numbered "1 of 58", so I now have 5 cards directly from the manufacturer with the identical serial number on them. I know that the base set was not advertised as serial numbered, but it bothers me that the cards are apparently numbered without making the numbers unique...
Thoughts?
