1991 Leaf Baseball Forum

Can somebody explain what this "Period Backs" parallel checklist is?  Where are the periods located?  I don't want to look for these, but where would I find them if I did?  I had never noticed this checklist until today, though it looks like it was added in 2015.

The set was added by Evans Cards and the checklist by vroomed.  I would think that either one might be best to explain the difference fromthe base set.  Unfortunately there is no image loaded to even try to find the "period".

I highly doubt if I will chase after this one of it is another case of a period added somewhere on the back of the card during a print run.

Same here.  There's no way I'm going back to look for a period on cards I already added.  It would be one thing if I sorted my cards by set, but since I sort by player, I would have to look for each individual card and that would be a lot of work with little payoff.  I have no issue with variation collectors who like this kind of thing, but a stray period is too much for me.

I believe it refers to the copyright line. There's a period (.) after "INC." versus no period "INC". Absolute minutia.

Wow.  I thought the Disclaimer Backs were bad in 1990 Topps Football, but at least those are very obvious variations.  Again, I don't criticize people who are into this stuff, but count me out!

Basically factory set vs cards from packs. (At least, that was the case with the Donruss ones. I don't remember the difference in the Leaf cards.)
