2003 Bowman Baseball Forum

Forgive me for being clueless, but I was just given a handful of these cards, (29 to be exact) and I can't tell the difference between the base versions and the gold parallel. Normally the borders or foil are gold but based on the scans they look exactly alike. I don't want to list them incorrectly.

Billy, you have stumbled upon one of the ridiculous parallels that the market put out there.  The difference is in the thickness of the cards.  The gold ones are much thicker than the regular issue card.  If those youhave are all like normal cards,tehn you don't have any gold parallels.  Yes, ridiculous but true.

Wow, that's annoying. All mine are normal thickness so they are indeed base. They could have at least made the border gold, or used silver foil on the base or something. Thank you!

The facsimilie signature is in really thin gold foil as opposed to really thin black foil also.
