Having issues with the 9-way auto booklet. Site won't let me verify PID or TID, seems like it's too many players on 1 card for the system to handle. More and more we are seeing huge cards like this in all major sports, and perhaps the site needs to be tweaked to allow them to be processed.

Have had same issues before, here was the fix for player / team names. Use last name only in the Name/Team field and then manually link the players/teams through the edit name/team link below the scan. I did some of the 12 players cards for hockey as well.

No, please don't use just last names in name field. Use the full names, then go to the (edit name links) and Add Link(s) manually.
I fixed it for you. http://www.tradingcarddb.com/ViewCard.cfm/sid/160638/cid/10318698

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Thanks, it's really something that needs to be fixed considering the size of some cards, the new National Treasures Baseball for example as a 24 player card

Actually - here's the deal:
The Name and Team fields can handle up to 255 characters. Teams should only be listed once if more than one player from the same team is on the card, so that usually helps the Team field.
If the linking is the problem - each field can link a maximum of 8 items at a time. So, when a card has 9 or more players otr teams, you have to add them in smaller groups. Most browsers support drag and drop, where you can highlight a portion of the names, drop them into the Add Link(s) text box, click the Add button and repeat with the remaining names (or teams).
The only situation I saw where the names did exceed the space was a set that had like 25 players per folder. I discussed with Admin, and in that case, I used first initial and Last Name and no spaces around the "/" character. But, I ensured all the players were linked to the card. Admin was pleased with the way they turned out. (The set described)

Yes Dan that was more or less how I did it, no first initial but got a green light for the National Treasure booklets from Admin as well. Truly a pain in the ass!

Yes, 255-character limit is pretty much a standard in databases. Trying to go beyond that in any field is 'injurious to donkeys'.

For these exceptionally numerous Name/Team cards. Could a Name2 and Team2 field be added? Or two Name and Team fields be added to just those specific sets checklists? Its been too many years since I last built a database.
