This gallery was added today. I love this set too. It's crazy to me that such a small number of these countries still have the same flag.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

This is a confusing set! It has 6 different back variations, 5 "common fancy" front variations, 3 "rare fancy" front variations, and two short-printed cards (Corea and Roumania).
I'm working on adding the differenat front variations, but matching back variations to the fronts is proving difficult and will probably not list very well in the database.
For those interested in the details, the guys at the Vintage Non-Sports Card Chatboard have tried to explain it.

Chad, i clicked the link and my head started spinning by the time i got to the word "Postulates". I don't know how people keep this kind of stuff straight, but keep up the good work!

I hear you, this set is a head spinner.
I do like the vintage tobacco cards though, especially the A&G sets. Glad you're enjoying them too.

There's probably only one card in this set I'd be interested in, and I hope that flag never changes.

They must of still been mad we burnt down the white house as we were not included. LOL 1876 was our day and the set is from 1887. They got Corea (huh) but not Canada. Interesting.

Ok, these are really cool. Almost enough to make me expand beyond baseball. But going doing that rabbit hole is just too dangerous.

You can blame the Commonwaelth for the C instead of K. That was how the London papers started spelling it after the lands were opened to foreigners.

If you mean USA, it has changed since 1888. Maybe that's not the one.

Good trivia. I was wondering why it was spelled with a "C". Can we also place the same blame for the wierd spelling of Romania....Roumania?
