I uploaded the checklist and scanned the one card I have from this set. Should I use this scan as the sample image too, or leave that for if someone scans another card in better condition? Mine doesn't look great, but good enough to hold a spot for Card 27 until a better version comes along. Maybe not good enough for a sample image though. It's a 1939 set. Any thoughts? I don't want to submit it and then ask Admin to remove it.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

IMO, I always thinks it's a good idea to have a Sample image as soon as possible. I rely on Samples to help me find the correct set I might be looking for. Then, when a better or more appropriate card is uploaded, the Sample can be changed.
I might add that Title Cards never make a good Sample. They rarely, if ever, have the same design as the cards in the set. I've been coming across too many lately.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Wouldn't you know it? I just found six more cards from this set!
I'll scan them in tomorrow.

When I notice them, I petition Admin to change them. It's helpful to him to tell him which card you think would be a better replacement. I can't think of a time when he didn't change it for me (then again, I haven't asked that much, and the requests were very much reasonable).
Additionally, since I've had a few people select the sample when I've uploaded the whole set, I make sure from now on, to upload the card I want as the sample first, select it myself, and then finish uploading the set.

ADMIN! WE GOT ANOTHER ONE!
-------------------------------
I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.
