1992 Mother Productions Vintage Aircraft Nose Art Non-Sport Forum

Wow, as a lover of Vintage WW2 aircraft since I was a kid, building the models and hanging them from the ceiling with fishing wire, to my MA thesis on gender ideals during the Second World War, this is freakin' amazing! I have actually seen many of these planes in person, preserved, in their museums. I am actually taken aback by many of these. I collect Detroit Tigers only, and fill in a few sets that when I bought random boxes or a few hobby boxes am so close to completing the base they are on my want list...but if I ever saw this set of cards complete at a show I'd drop the $$ on it!

I like them as well. I've seen Sentimental Journey in person when she toured in 2000. Here's a picture we took that day.

Billy I wish I still had the photos from some of the times I've seen these magnificent machines, but alas most were much before the time of digital photos. One of the most awe inspiring was seeing the Avro Lancaster (one of only two left in the world that fly based out of Hamilton Ontario) in person for the first time at an airshow in Michigan. Now, living only an hour or so from Hamilton Ontario, I've taken my school there twice to see the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum on or around Remembrance Day. When this thing started its engines the first time I saw it hats were blown off heads about 200m away! Truley an awesome experience.
