1999-00 Bakersfield Condors (WCHL) Hockey Forum

Ok So the Bakersfield Condors TID exists, but for the ECHL team. This is the WCHL version of the team. How do you create a TID for a team whose name already exists for a different team? I know how to create a brand new name, but if I enter Bakersfield Condors it will automatically link and not be "black text" to add new team.

Team added, but it may take a while (or Admin's doing) to get it to show in the driop down.

In the meantime, if you want to select bakersfield and then go in and edit the TID, it's 4302.

Ok, it automatically linked to the Bakersfield TID 4302, does that mean the old TID is gone?

They're not different teams. The team just changed leagues.  NHL teams do this frequently with their minor league teams.

There was no removal of an old TID.

If you select Bakersfield Condors from the dropdown, you will probably only see the old TID still. (Until a site update.)

To get it to link to the correct TID, (for now) you need to select the old Condors, then "edit team", and enter 4302 for the TID.

That was how I got that in there. Why did you remove it from the one player I had done?

C2Cigars is correct. Cards from this set should be linked to TID 1683. 

The new TID 4302 can be used for the current Bakersfield Condors in the AHL. They were originally the Oklahoma City Barons.

This all makes my head hurt!

Allow me to clarify a couple things:

1 - I'm not sure SDC is correct here about the continual usage of the TID for the team in 2 different leagues. We have several teams that are listed twice because of being in 2 leagues. Additionally, do not use the new TID for a team in another league. The TID I set up today is in the WCHL. TID 4302 should only be used for a WCHL team. That's not even debatable.

2 - Change log for the set:

7 minutes after I updated the TID to link to the new team, rmpaq5 deleted the team name from the card. Change log doesn't lie.

3 - There have been several posts referencing "Walk before you run." So this is for everyone, please, do what you can, and what you can't, please leave to those who can. I know how to replace a headlight in my car, but I don't know how to replace the alternator. I'll get a mechanic to that.
