All I can say is this, I'm a Thurman Thomas fan, I collect his cards and I have over 12,000 of his cards, to me these Diamond Edition cards are worth something to me, and I'm pretty sure that some of you guys on here feel the same about this as I do if you have one of these cards in your collection. I'm not saying everyone, just some of you. To me if they are not illegally made in anyway, then they are worth something! Again, thank you guys for discussing this topic with me.

They might be worth something to you, but please understand that there is nothing stopping anyone from making more of these. If that happens, you do understand what that means for the cards you spent your hard-earned money on?

Card collections are a personal thing. I get the fact that not everyone would groove on the cards I collect (heck, even my son teases me for collecting certain players from when I was younger), but I also understand what the database is doing, and trying to do, and have inquired on the limits they have set - and abide by them. Aftermarket modifications, the Topps buy backs, printing errors (such as blank backs, missing foil, etc.), and other anomolies are not listed (and therefore cannot be added to a "virtual collection") here. I have some of these type of cards. Are they in my collection? Yes. Am I clamoring here to ge them added so I can list them? No. Your 4 horsemen card will probably get added. Your Action Packed promo sheet xxxxx/75000 will get added (we just need to figure out where it belongs). Some of your other cards that aren't currently in the DB here will probably be added. These Diamond Edition ones will not be. What you can do is add the ProSet card multiple times (for each DE version) and add a note either while adding using "Detailed Add" or after by choosing "Edit Details". There is a comment block for each card you add - you could put your description there so you can do the cataloging yourself.

One thing that you could do is create a user list and upload your own photos. I don't know how to do it myself but I know it can be done.

Ok, again thank you Dan, that is what I was going to do is add and edit but didn't want to add something that was going to upset people. So I asked this already but everyone is stuck on these DE, I have a 1997 Donruss special olympics card no. 1/1, is that considered the same as these DE?

Yes, exactly.  Another common aftermarket modification.

You don't Add the aftermarket card. In your collection, you add the original, and enter a note about the aftermarket modification.

Good point! But I have to ask b/c I don't know, what does TriStar make now? The last sets I remember from them were wrestling and minor league baseball. I know they've done some re-pack stuff from various brands/sports over the years, but they weren't printing anything but the boxes for the packages.

Also, didn't Leaf go out of business long ago? The current Leaf cards are not made by the same Leaf company that was affiliated with Donruss before they both went out of business about a decade ago. The current "Leaf" cards have nothing to do with the well-known Leaf cards from the 1980's, 1990's and early 2000's.

Just read this a while back on Wikipedia, so you know how that is but here is what they say about Leaf:

The company was founded in 2010 by Bryan Gray in Dallas, Texas. Previously, Gray had headed Razor Entertainment, a manufacturer of sports trading cards best known for signing the number one pick in the 2008 MLB draft, Tim Beckham, to an exclusive autograph deal.

After Gray acquired the rights to the Leaf brand name, Razor was immediately shuttered and Gray re-launched the company as "Leaf Trading Cards". Like Razor before it, Leaf does not currently have a license with any of the four major US sports leagues or their respective players' unions. Instead, Leaf has concentrated producing cards of up-and-coming prospects and on niche sports like mixed martial arts and professional poker. In 2011, Leaf came to terms with Muhammad Ali to produce a 100-card set based on the fighter's career. Leaf also has a license to produce cards based on the TV series Family Guy.

The current Leaf Trading Cards has no connection to the gum and card manufacturer of the 1940s and 50s, nor is it related in any way to Donruss, Pinnacle Brands, or Playoff, Inc., all of which produced sports trading cards under the "Leaf" name in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s.

If my memory stands correct, Leaf has the exclusive autograph contract with Jack Eichel of the Buffalo Sabres, he was the 2nd pick overall last year behind McDaid, you will only get his auto in Leaf products. When I was up at the card expo in the city rumor has it that this is the only year Connor McDavid allowed his auto for all parties, next year he is supposedly to sign a contract with Upper Deck that is much like the deal they have with Wayne Gretzky. Again that could have simply been a ploy by the vendors to get me to try and buy his stuff, I was wearing his jersey after all !! lol

When a card company has the exclusive licence I think .most of the players are exclusive to them, right? If I was an athlete no way would I sign with an unlicensed company... But I am too fat, unhealthy and unskilled so I guess it's a moot point, lol!
