1990 Topps Football Forum

I didn't realize this until today, but should there be variations of every card in this set because of the disclaimer on the backs of the cards?  I spotted it on a card I added to my collection a bit ago, and was checking out COMC.com and noticed it again.  For those not sure what I'm talking about, look at card #8 and card #9 in the database.  #8 is Jerry Rice and look by the Topps logo at the bottom there is some small print.  Card #9 doesn't have that same print.  It's hard to read on the scans but it says "Topps Football Player cards are not manufactured, sponsored, or authorized by any team or league".

Does anyone know the story about this?  Did Topps and NFL have a dispute after they released the set or something?

There is a parallel set already included in additions/parallel.

Cool, thanks.  I must have had a severe brain freeze and didn't even look.  Though now the question is should those cards with the disclaimer backs be moved to that set and new ones added to the regular set?  I don't care either way, since its the only difference, but still to be as accurate as possible maybe it needs to be done.

Would someone volunteer to go through the regular set and make a list of the cards that have the Disclaimer Back so that they can be moved over?

Wow, thanks for the work Jupiter. Now... to edit some scans!!!

Somebody else must have scanned more disclaimer backs in as regular since Jupiter and Admin fixed this in February.  I notice several with disclaimers in here.
