1993 Stadium Club Football Forum

Hello all, forgive me for not having a scanner....yet, so I will describe the best I can.  I have a question about a card.  It is a 1993 Stadium club #81 Johnny Bailey.  However on the back there is a white bubble over the stats that says "1993 Pre-production Sample".  Is there another checklist where this belongs?

I don't seem to find the answer here or on other sites right now. A scan or pic would help a bunch! I have a CL for 9 cards in the '93 SC Pre-production set (including Bailey), but NO info about the set. That's why I haven't added it yet. If you can provide a picture of the front and back (through email, Photobucket, ImageShack, etc.) , I can tell you more. PM me!

There is a 9-card promo sheet that was distributed at the 1993 National convention that included Bailey. I'm assuming this is the same set in question. 

I noticed that Checkoutmycards has a couple of these for sale: http://www.comc.com/Cards/Football/1993/Topps_Stadium_Club_Pre-Production/81/Johnny_Bailey/9514264 I have always thought that sample cards like these are just like most other promo items. The companies make "x" number of the samples and distribute them pre-production of the set to promote the set and hopefully get a ton of pre-orders. Personally I look at them as promos with an unknown production print count.

Probably not listed yet. Almost none of the NBA promos were listed before I listed them....so the football is probably missing some here and there as well. Promos are known for being hard to calalog.
