I have card 576 in this set (the T in the high numbered card numbers doesn't really exist; probably taken from Beckett) but my card is Benito Santiago, not Mark Whiten. The database checklist says Santiago should be 577. Does anyone have this set who can verify whether these cards need switched on the site, or I have a UER? I vaguely seem to remember the annual Becketts always having this set mixed up back when I bought those, so there may be some other names wrong too.
(edited to correct spelling)

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

According to the Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards:
575 - Mark Whiten (image verified)
576 - Benito Santiago
577 - Jason Bates
578 - Bill Swift (image verified)
I've found visual verification of the Whiten and Swift cards. So, it seems our database checklist is incorrect (including the "T" suffix).

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

According to baseballcardpedia.com and sportscarddatabase.com
574 - Mike Macfarlane
575 - Bill Swift
576 - Mark Whiten
577 - Benito Santiago
578 - Jason Bates
These cards are also part of the Traded and Updated set. So I don't know how to really judge this unless someone has evidence of these cards being different.

Evidence of 576 Santiago coming up right now. I can't change a checklist (I don't think), but I can post it in the mystery card forum. Give me about five minutes...

Here's Santiago:

Could somebody who knows how please switch the numbers C2Cigars has listed above? I trust his research on Swift and Whiten to be accurate, and I have provided a scan of my Santiago card. As to the "Traded and Updated" factor, I remember that the traded set was a mail-in offer of some sort, possibly with You Crash The Game cards, or maybe with wrappers. They were numbered as a continuation of the base set, much like 1981 Topps Traded was.

Now I remember how you got the high number "Traded" cards. You sent these in for the card numbers listed on each:

The checklist has been corrected.
QUESTION for All: Shouldn't the Traded cards (531-585) be a separate checklist? Other Traded/Update sets in the database have also used the continuing numbering system and aren't part of the base set. And since it was a mail-in redemption set, be listed in Inserts and Related Sets?

C2Cigars - I have come across both systems - continuing in the base set and making it another set under Traded. I believe that if the numbering goes on sequentially from the end of the base set, it should be included with it. As a collector, when I find a card with a high number, I automatically go to the base set. It frustrates me when I see the base set ending before the card number I hold. Now I have to find how it was named in the data base or in the reference I am using. The card companies have really made it complicated to find what cards come from where. I wish they used (real) collectors to plan their next issues. We would avoid many of these situations or, like another recent forum post, two cards from two different series with the same number, e.g. FSH-13.
