Thought those two were redemptions

Trying to acquire one card for every for every set, insert, parralle, minor, euro, team issue, oddball etc sets produced for Hockey. Been an interesting project.

For our database, Mail-in is not the same as a Redemption/Exchange. It's true you have to mail in the redemption card, but here Mail-in refers to a mail-in offers, e.g., "send in 10 wrappers for..."

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Ok so the cards I have been finding that have "mail-in" listed in Note2 are not neccesarily correct?! As for these Oates cards I'll have to go looking for the "redemption" cards as they are not listed in the set anywhere.

The "Redemption" card would be the card that is sent to the company. The card that is sent back to you is the "Exchange" card. If they also send back the "Redemption" card it is usually marked somehow as "Redeemed". And thus would be a "Redeemed Redemption" card.
Oates cards that have "RED: mail-in" are wrong. It can't be both a "Redemption" and "Mail-in" card. And the one I looked at looks like an "Exchange" card. Or it could have been obtained through a Mail-in offer. I don't know which is correct.

The Oates cards (11 and 12) were only available by mail-in offer. There were no cards to send in. See back of the pack.

~Rob~ Hockey set collector including inserts, ERR, COR, VAR. Knowledgeable about 1968-69 to 1994-95 hockey. All 1990 and newer cards for trade are NRMT. Expect the same in return. 1989 and older are assigned a grade. Everything on my trade list is available for sale. Reasonable prices based on condition. If it's not on my tradelist, it's not available.

Ok got it Rob, again thanks are in order. So as per the database the "mail-in" cards are usually listed seperately what do we do with these? I have made Admin aware of the 93-94 Pinnacle (I think) All-Stars Inserts as they have five mail-ins as well. These are kind of a pain in the butt.

I believe the two mail-in offer cards should be listed separately as "Mail-in" since they were not "Inserts".

I feel that since these cards are part of the Adam Oates insert set so they should be listed in that set. They should be Noted as "Mail-ins" The same thing goes for the 5 93-94 Pinnacle All-Stars. If my memory serves correctly (which it doesn't for most other things) there are also "insert-mail-ins" for other hockey sets from the early 90's.
Ranfordfan's comment about "So as per the database the "mail-in" cards are usually listed seperately..", I think this ony applies to single cards or entire sets that we only available via mail-in.
