I am working on linking the names and I hate when I see this kind of stuff.

Wish there was a easier way to fix instead of going through each card.

No, the easy fix would have been in MS Word or Excel BEFORE uploading the checklist.  But, of course, that would of meant a little extra work on someone else's part. Instead of a LOT of work on our part.

Sometimes I'd wish Admin would go back to the checklist uploader and say "you uploaded it, YOU FIX IT" and take away their checklist permissions.  We don't need all the extra work these checklists cause.

A possible solution, add something like "Checklist Help" to Things to Do. Where people who have no editing skills (or name/team knowledge) can post links to found checklists. Then those of us who have the speedy editing and formatting skills can put them in the proper format and make name/team corrections for uploading.

Sorry, I had to vent. Laziness really irks me. It just gets so aggravating fixing other people's.

I agree on all parts, it is a shame we have a great site.

Some of these checklists. Wish there was a way to re-install a correct checklist. But that would delete the cards already loaded into collections for the members.

The other thing that bothers me is the Mark as Verified button not pushed. Wish there was a way to have all those that have all the links added but not verified either verified or in a seperate section so I could just update those.

Most likely the lazy uploader isn't part of the site anymore anyway. And if there were permissions revoked, it might just drive them away. It's a catch 22. I do wish there was a way to import or re-upload the info portion of the checklist while maintaining the indexing (so people's collections don't get wiped out). What would also be nice is a flagging system - when we see a set that needs work (names / notes), we can flag it for "work". Then when it's complete, we can remove the flag. Just like we have pages where we can see what sets have missing glossary items, and which ones are missing scans that we have the cards in our collection, we can go to this page and see what set needs help.

On a positive note, the site is getting much better by the day!

i've just redone the CL in excel and as long as thare no scans, i asked admin to delete whats there so i can upload a good version- easier than doing one for one waiting for internet to change pages. .. there are other altenative means too- your auto fill on your web browser, as long you spell it right, go to each one and/or copy/paste away.

Laziness is probably the biggest issue causing all dedicated members this aggravation.  For example, I found the 1998 Pacific HR History 72 card set was missing most images so, having the set, I am going to upload the images.  When I went to the set, even though there are only two players in the whole set, very few of the cards were linked to the team, either the Cubs or the Cardinals.  So now, every image I add, I first have to selecct the team for either Sosa or McGwire.  It would have been much easier in excel.

I wish Admin did monitor the submission of checklists and otehr items, and would warn then revoke permissions when the offender does repeat offenses.

Clicking on Check Teams then Add Teams is a much quicker way to add teams to cards.
