Is it just me or can scanners scan gold to look black? I am looking at the Autograph insert set specifically as I almost made an eBay purchase based on the TCDB image. The word "AUTOGRAPH" on the Ranford card looks black and the one on eBay is gold. Had to text the wife to look in my binder as the DB says I uploaded the images. Low and behold my card is gold as well, no purchase needed!!! Not sure I have ever noticed this before .... Typical of the Canadian kid eh!? I know the routine .... Lol .... Make fun of me the funny sounding hockey guy. =D

Maybe it is time to use your new scanner to change the uploaded image LOL ------------------------------- Trying to acquire one card for every for every set, insert, parralle, minor, euro, team issue, oddball etc sets produced for Hockey. Been an interesting project.

To answer your question, yes. Gold foil USUALLY scans as black.Silver can as well. A few months back somebody was trying to pass off a card as a rare variation because they didn't know that scanners usually can't capture foil properly, on one of the facebook card groups.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.
