And got the Misty May-Traenor.  Nice way to cap off an Olympic summer.

I somewhat liked the olympic set in that it contained athletes from a multitude of sports.  But, I would have been more pleased if Topps would have done an olympic set with the athletes of the world not just the USA.

Dear Topps,

Believe it or not there are great athletes outside the USA, oh and please pass that message on to NBC as their coverage of the Olympics was dreadful.

The set contains a lot of people that didn't make it to the Olympics.  It would be nicer if they released it closer to the Olympics with the people that actually made the different teams or maybe after the Olympics containing all of the relevant stars from the different countries like Mustafina and the handicapped guy, but I guess once the Olympics are over no one really cares anymore.

I'd love to see a set that actually documents the Olympics, not just who they think might make the Games.

I found Topps' set to be lacking, in scope and card design...I think some of the images they used were paintings of the athletes? It's hard to tell, if not, they were certainly messed with and not straight-up images.

Even so, since it's the only game in town for the Olympics, I still got a handfull of packs, and would have gotten more but they sold out too quickly.

Do they have a checklist here on this sight? I'd like to add them in. I know there were other Olympic sets issued, my favorite is 1996's Collect-A-Card "Centennial Olympic Games" series.
