1973 Topps Baseball Forum

Hi. I just discovered these team checklists. Does anyone know how they were distributed? I have the 1974's which came in the wax packs. So, although I really don't like the cards, I collected them because I considered them as part of the base set. Although they're listed as a separate set here.  But I never even knew 1973 also had them. Trying to decide if I want to bother getting them. Anyone consider them as part of the base set? Or was this some special promotion? I thought I bought a fair number of packs back in the day and got nary a one of these checklists.

Never mind. I have my answer. These checklists were inserted into a limited number of series 5 packs. I think those are clearly not base set. I'm gonna let this go. Baseballcardpedia.com is truly excellent. 

I think they're pretty cool. I have the Cardinals one. I wouldn't consider them part of the base set though.

Got the whole set of checklists when I got my set (within the past year). I was surprised to see that there were so few scanned here.

Both the 1973 and 1974 Checklists Sets are integrated into my base sets.  Although I still consider someone else's set complete without them, I don't consider my own sets complete without them.  I kick off all of my team sets with one of these checklist cards.
