What differentiates the European issue from the American one? Is it so obvious that I haven't figured it out yet?

Card numbers. The European set includes inserts in the base set.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.

What I should have asked is, when I look at my Christian Laettner #108, how do I tell which version the card is?

I am pretty sure they are identical...the only differences are the cards that are numbered differently. I may be wrong though as I only have about 2 packs' worth of the European issue..

I know the next year was identical in series 1, then stuck in some extra cards in between, and the series 2 cards had different numbers as a result. This set may be the same. No words in other languages like Upper Deck had. But like I said, that was 96-97. I never had any 95-96.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
