1990 O-Pee-Chee Baseball Forum

This variation only affects the "blue" sheets. 

They are a stock test issue, similar to the tembec cards, not a tiffany parallel.

From the 39 cards I have, you may be right as they are all blue fronts.  Do you have a reliable source for this before we ask Admin to pare down the set to a parallel version like the 1991 Topps Dark Logo variation?  I can easily compile an accurate checklist and provide it to Admin.

He's pretty much the authority when it comes to obscure variations so I'm sure it's reliable info.

Just added 2 more scans of cards from this obscure parallel and jacksoncoupage is most ver likely right in his observation.  This link are the cards I have uploaded images for: http://www.tradingcarddb.com/ViewCollection.cfm/sid/159359 + #60 George Brett (notsure ifyou will be able to see the cards through the link).  Forty-one card images (front & back) and all are very noticeably blue bordered. I guess it is probably time to build a checklist (like I did for1991 Topps dark logo set) and have Admin edit the present checklist.

Note as well, these seem to be rarer than the 1991 Topps Dark Logo variation.  I have 1 complete set and 2 99% complete sets plus about 4,000 commons for trade and allI could find was these 41 cards having the white stock paper. This is most probably because of OPC's lower production numbers.

Problem is, there are only 131 cards in the list.  I think most of us know that uncut sheets have 132 cards.  I must have missed one.

I ask that anyone who has these, please take a look to see what card I must have missed. As well, if you have any and are able to provide scans, it would be much appreciated.  I exhausted mine when I found out about them.

I will also try to go back over my set and see if I can figure out the missing card. In case you are not aware, they are the pure lighter blue edge cards, not the ones that fade to purple.

Just for all critics to know, my checklist to Admin had it right.  But considering the long list, it is easy to make an error. Just happy it was resolved so quickly.

There are 132 cards that have white backs and they are all in light blue border. I have the complete set white backs and 30 cards uncut sheet. 

I managed to find 102 uncut sheet cards of the white backs. Still looking for the remaining 30 uncut sheet to complete my ultimate collection. Please lmk thank you!

Finally happy to see this variation recognized.  For years I tried to explain it to people, including PSA, with no recognition. 

I have many White Backs, and am looking to trade for Normal Backs to complete my ultimate set.
