Okay, so I've been doing a few of these, and I figured before I got in too deep and made some serious mistakes, I should double check what I'm doing.
These misc. sports cards are for the NRL in Australia. This team, for example, is known as the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. However, a TID exists for the Canterbury Bulldogs already. The team name history is as follows:
1974-1994: Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs
1995-1996: Sydney Bulldogs
1997-1999: Canterbury Bulldogs
2000-2009: Bulldogs (no geographical name)
2010-present: Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs
There are other teams like this as well. My question is if there exists a PID for this franchise already, should the team name on the cards stay "Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs" and just be linked to the "Canterbury Bulldogs" TID? Or should the name be changed to "Canterbury Bulldogs" on the cards, seeing as that is what the TID is named already?
I hope this makes sense. Let me know if I can provide other information. Thanks!
Jason
P.S. - Sorry for 1) asking many of these types of questions, but I just want to make sure I'm doing it right, and 2) for spacing out my messages so much, but I find them easier to explain in paragraph form!
I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.
