HOF photobombs

by dilemma19 - 33 cards (Last updated on Jan. 31, 2018)

33. 1973 Topps #410 Willie McCovey

It's hard to upstage a Hall of Fame subject, but Johnny Bench is lurking behind the mask...

32. 1973 Topps #145 Bobby Bonds

Bonds shows off his dance moves, but Stargell's the star of this card.

31. 1993 SP #128 Jay Buhner

A little peck for Junior.

30. 1973 Topps #204 World Series Game 2 - A's Make It Two Straight

Johnny Bench's takeout slide delays the throw just enough for Tony Perez to beat out the double play.

The only A's future-HOFers to suit up for the 1972 World series were Catfish Hunter and Rollie Fingers. Although both pitched in game 2, neither appears in this shot.

29. 1991 Fleer #478 Tim Hulett

Hulett's about to be Rocked!
Thanks IfbBirdsCards. Nice spot!

28. 1976 Topps #284 Steve Ontiveros

So long Mike Schmidt! I'm heading home.

27. 1992 Upper Deck #705 Kurt Stillwell

You're out Mr. Wizard!

26. 1992 Upper Deck #269 Dick Schofield

The ball is waiting for you at second base Rickey.

25. 1989 Bowman #379 Gary Carter

Looks like Ryno's in a pickle, with another Hall of Famer running him down.

24. 1994 Collector's Choice #47 Bret Barberie

That Piazza guy crouching behind the plate was apparently too good to be cropped out.

Roberto Alomar - photo bombing before it was popular! A cool and unique list - I enjoyed looking at it!

Man, I need to make a list about photobombs: I can at least thing of a few cards where Miguel Montero is tagging someone out at home. Believe me, they are really popular in Topps!

Cool list! There has to be a ton of these throughout the years but this is a nice start.

Love the Jody Reed card, hated the Brewers' jerseys at the time, now they have grown on me.

I can't be certain that the blobs behind Schiraldi are Dawson and/or Sandberg (the infielder appears to be left-handed, so he's most likely Mark Grace)...

Interesting list! #16 certainly stood out to me b/c I've had that card in my Ryno collection for decades. I need to get a copy of #27 ('92 UD Stillwell) for my Ozzie Smith collection. I need two copies of #10 ('88 Topps RB) for my Rickey and Mattingly collections. Thanks for showing me some more cards I'd like to add to my collection (besides just those 2). I might have to weigh-in on some additions for your list in the future! I'm sure I have more of them for you to add.

I know the player in card 1. Huson is the tv man for my local and favorite team the Colorado Rockies.

I also have that exeact same card. But my card is an error. It has a rediscover topps stamp on it.

Yes it is a upper deck card with a rediscover topps stamp on it.
