I've always wondered if these were the Nippon Ham "Fighters" or Nippon "Ham Fighters". Now I know, from reading your list. I chuckle when I see the team name, I have to admit. | ||
@Billy Kingsley Yeah, a lot of people laugh when they see their name. Nippon Ham is the company (In Japan, the teams are owned by corporations). | ||
The league that became the NBA used to have that too. If they had gotten cards, we would have had two different teams called the Studebakers! One of the corporate teams actually did get cards and has a PID, the Phillips 66ers. | ||
@Billy Kingsley I didn't know that. The only basketball league I know of that has teams owned by corporations is the Phillippines Basketball Association. |
