My Completed Sets

by switzr1 - 6 cards (Last updated on Feb. 10, 2018)

1. 1990 Collect-A-Card Kingpins #1 Earl Anthony

Bowling is my favorite sport to participate in (I'm actually an alternate in a bowling league). I enjoy watching it too, and Earl was my all-time favorite bowler, so this entry is not as boring to me as it might be to the rest of you.

EDIT: Apparently nobody finds this card boring. Lots of positive bowling comments below!!

2. 2014 Upper Deck AHL #5 Joni Ortio

Got these for Christmas 2016.

3. 2017 Topps WWE Heritage - Bizarre SummerSlam Matches #10 Rusev

Seems like I only bought a couple jumbo packs of Heritage, but I completed this small insert set without realizing it. Happy Rusev Day!

4. 2015 Donruss - Studio #1 Yordano Ventura

Got a box of Donruss for Christmas 2017. All the Studio inserts were in there!

No wonder we get along, I was a huge competetive bowler up until about 6/8 years ago. I lost my edge I guess but don't think I am in the same lane as you KingPins!! I am a lowly 5 pin bowler, much more popular in Canada than the US. Had a 235 average and missed the perfect by one strike and ended with 431 (of a possible 450). When wifey came along I let her have the fun and I parented. =)

I love that Earl Anthony card. My grandfather was a huge bowler and would always watch it when it was on TV. Earl Anthony was his favorite.

I may remove my comment about people finding the bowling set boring.  Two positive bowling comments. I should have known this group would appreciate them!!

I have two of those bowling box sets.  I was a serious bowler, usually three leagues a week, until I developed Dupuytren's.

I used to really enjoy bowling as well even though I was truly terrible at it. Physically I can't do it anymore but I do miss it. I don't have any bowling cards in my collection yet.

No not BORING!  Earl was my favorite as well.  Plus when my buddy had a card store he got that bowling set included in a collection he purchased.  He didn't know what to do with it so he gave it to me since I was the only person showing any interest in it.  I consider it a major coup.
