vrooomed's Most Wanted Phillies cards by vrooomed
Last updated on Apr 8, 2024

As a collector of Phillies cards, I enjoy a collection starting with some 1950 Bowman to present day. I decided to go after all Topps cards during that time frame, as well as the Bowman cards up to 1955. I'm adding to the list going from 1953 back. (And rather than clog up this list with complete runs - yes, I feel like I have one 1951 Topps, despite it being the lone Red Back and I want all 6 Phillies Blue Backs - I am not adding the 17 cards from 1949 Bowman and the two cards from 1948 Bowman. If I add the 1949 Bowman at some point, I'll probably add in the 1948 Bowman as well.)
Note: The list started with the 1966 Topps Shirley / Jackson and the 1963 Herrnstein (Stargell) as well as several 1954s and 1953s. Also on the list were 1951 Bowman. 1950 Bowman hadn't been dreamed of owning, and now here I am with 7 of them. Thanks to all who have helped me obtain these in whatever manner.

10 & Under: 1997 Fleer Ultra Football by MoPack626
Last updated on Apr 7, 2024

When I was a teenager, I bought a box of series one and really liked the set. I've been slowly working on completing the entire set (series one & series two) ever since then. I'm now under ten cards, so I'm excited to see this set almost completed after a couple of decades. The challenge now is that 6/8 are HoFers, including two RCs of Orlando Pace.

1969 Topps Cards from the MLBPA Boycott of 1968 by Dave Sosidka
Last updated on Apr 7, 2024

As the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) was forming and strengthening, the players realized that Topps, with a monopoly on producing baseball cards, was paying them peanuts for their likenesses. As a move to put some pressure on the Brooklyn-based bubble gum giant, the players decided to not pose for Topps photographers in 1968. The result was that the 1969 set contains many older photos- taken two, three, and sometimes, more years earlier. To read more, check out https://sabrbaseballcards.blog/2017/01/03/the-1967-68-player-boycott-of-topps/.
Thanks to Jack Webster for his detective work in helping me track some of these down.

One card, usually my best, of each Michigan Wolverines football player or head coach in my collection. If they transferred in or out they still count (Michigan or pro uniforms only). A lot of help for this list comes from Michigan-specific products such as 1991 College Classics Michigan Wolverines, 2002-07 TK Legacy Michigan Wolverines, and 2015 Panini Michigan Wolverines.

Currently the list includes a total of 370 subjects on 367 cards (three of those are pairs of family members). I'll continue to add players and upgrade cards as I receive them.

Milwaukee Brewers IP/TTM Signed Cards by BrewerAndy
Last updated on Apr 4, 2024

Most Recent Update: added Carlos Santana

A-Z with a couple of fun team sets grouped at the end and a few surprises for the super bored sprinkled in along the way.

One of my side projects is collecting an autograph from every player that has ever appeared in a Major League game for the Milwaukee Brewers. This list tracks all of the cards that I have acquired through the mail, in-person, or through private/public autograph appearances. A few were purchased. I have many others on signed baseballs, 8x10’s, index cards, and custom cards not cataloged here unfortunately. My preference is always to get the players on a Brewers baseball card but when that’s not possible a photo or custom will suffice and worst case a team neutral item such as an index card or single-signed baseball will do.

In no particular order, my most wanted rookie cards. Some of them are definitely out of my price range but a guy can dream. If you are interested in trading for one of the cards on this list, let me know, I’m also willing to buy for the most reasonably priced ones.

Misc Sports Sets That Never Were: 1979 APSSL Men's Softball by BucCollector
Last updated on Apr 3, 2024

ESPN's first-ever live event broadcast was Game 1 of the American Professional Slo-Pitch League World Series, played in Lannon, WI between the Milwaukee Schlitz and the Kentucky Bourbons. The recording of that broadcast was lost until 2019, when the former owner of the Schlitz discovered a copy in his possession. In the same dresser drawer, underneath some socks and underwear, was this long-lost trading card set, which until today has never been revealed.

Five left! Only rookies left with this set including Edgerrin James and Duante Culpepper. The bulk of these cards came from a lot I bought on Ebay, about 75% of the collection. Nevertheless, I would really like to complete this set because I don't have a complete set from 1999.
