Brownie the Elf was chosen as the team mascot in the 1940s after, then owner Arthur McBride, asked for submissions. Brownie remained the mascot until 1961 when the new owner, Art Modell, began phasing it out. Brownie was resurrected in 1999 by owner, Randy Lerner. |
