The most prized card in my collection. My father was a Reds fan and he told me about Big Klu, his favorite player, when I was a kid. When I started really collecting cards at about 8 years old, he of course told me he used to have a few ball cards and that he wished he still had them. When he died, I found this in an old wallet of his. The wallet contained a pay stub in the amount of $40 from a coal mine in Kentucky around 1958, a receipt for a $1.50 leather "billfold" and this card. |
