• 1998 Sports Illustrated is a 201-card set released by Fleer in February 1998. This was one of three Sports Illustrated-branded sets Fleer released in 1998.
  
  All 201 base cards were available in the following parallels.
  
  Extra Edition (serial-numbered to 250 copies)
  
  First Edition (one-of-one)
  NOTE: The First Edition cards were a late edition to the product. As such, they look very similar to the Extra Edition cards, to include the phrase "EXTRA EDITION" printed in the same holographic foil on the front. The words "The Only 1 of 1 First Edition" printed in purple ink where the serial-numbering would otherwise be, is the only differentiating feature.
  
• Each pack contained one 5" X 7" Opening Day Mini Poster. There is one Mini Poster for each of the 30 MLB clubs and features the team's 1998 schedule.
