Jun. 2, 2008 - 5:31PM One of my two favorite card sets in terms of childhood memories and sentimentality as this was the first set of cards I ever started to buy (I was seven years old at the time) and remember going to the local drug store to buy a pack for 25 cents. This was also the card set that also helped me fall in love with baseball as a seven year old. I remember looking at the players pictures on the front of the card and being mesmerized by those images. The design although simple, with two folding banners-giving the players position on the left hand corner and the team's name in the right hand corner-with the team's color scheme-was effective and one that I really enjoyed. The most valuable card from this set is the Ricky Henderson rookie. |
