Set: 2002-03 Pacific Private Stock Reserve - Retail (Rate)

Card: #98 Sergei Gonchar

“ I love this set. Have a few of these cards. Retail differs from base in that the Pacific Private Stock logo is silver as opposed to gold. Great design! ” -Tylergallo

“ This set has not made it's way into my collection yet. My firs thought was that it was a SP Authentic card. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ This could be one of the worst cards I have ever seen. So much white. The border takes up most of the card, and they shrunk the background so they could get more white border in there. The little background they left is dyed blue which makes it hard to see. The writing besides his name is so small I can barely read the team name and position at the bottom and can't read what is on the right. The team logo and company logo are tiny as well. The back has a headshot, which I always like on hockey cards. Which is the only positive I can say about this whole disgrace. I would give the front a 0 and the back a 2. I am saddened that Pacific, a company I can usually rely on would make this abomination. ” -davidhandberry

“ OK looking card. I forget if the print on the front of these things are ink or foil. If foil then they have a tendency to get worn down/out just by looking at them. Back needs more stats. My biggest UGH about this card is the team is my homie Capitals. ” -captkirk42

“ I usually like Pacific when it pops up. Not so much this time. And the name of the set is just too long. Private Stock Reserve - Retail? Is that a tiny Caps logo in the top right? I vote no on this one. ” -muskie027

Set: 2003 Donruss Timeless Treasures (Rate)

Card: #97 Vladimir Guerrero

“ Vlad. ” -Tylergallo

“ Vlad! Kind of like this Classics set, even though it is one of my least favorite from the original Donruss era. ” -captkirk42

“ Vlad! My Expos! Oh how I miss them ” -Lennoxmatt

“ Nice, classy looking card. One of my favorite non Braves players, excited to see how his son does in the Bigs. ” -davidhandberry

“ Vlad was known for swinging at things ridiculously out of the zone and connecting. It looks like he is about to swing at one in the dirt on this picture. I'll betcha he took it yard! ” -muskie027

Set: 2017 Panini Playoff - Red Zone (Rate)

Card: #4 Devonta Freeman

“ This encapsulates just about everything wrong in the past several years. Useless parallel that just puts the words "Red Zone" in small text on a base card, same picture on back, minimal stats etc... etc... It is a tie in my opinion who started this mess, be it either Topps with the Bowman releases or Panini with ANY release, but it is totally out of hand now. Seems the competition is now "Who can think of the most parallels, oh ya and let's add them to every possible insert set we can think of..." WEAK! ” -rmpaq5
“ Ok card front. Oh a dang "Red" Zone parallel how nice. Only difference is the "red zone" printing on front in red print? Good to see a pro version of the Playoff set. I do not like the Draft version. Back typical Panini back meaning only one year of stats the same photo as the front. ” -captkirk42

“ Looks like the ball is coming loose!! ” -biggiofn7

“ Like most Panini cards, the front looks really nice. I'll bet it is on good card stock and a quality photo pic. But the back looks like every single Panini product I've seen since reentering the hobby. Come on Panini! ” -muskie027

Set: 2013 Panini Road to 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil Adrenalyn XL - Goal Stoppers (Rate)

Card: #213 Stipe Pletikosa

“ Cool uniform! ” -Billy Kingsley

“ The dear Stipe announced his retirement from the Croatian National Team after the 2014 World Cup. All told he earned 114 caps. This looks like one of them foil type cards, they usually look pretty nice in hand. ” -Gunny

“ As soon as I saw this I thought late 90's or maybe early 00's but a card with this much going on in the last 6 years shocks me. The background on the front reminds me of something you would see in the 60's at Woodstock. Besides that I never have gotten the whole game card thing for sports cards. I have yet to meet someone that sat down and played one of these games. The back is just bad in every way so not even going to try to start on it. I would give the front a 3 and the back a 0. ” -davidhandberry

“ This makes me want to sing “Its Not Easy Being Green” ;) ” -stevejrogers

“ GOOOOOOAAAAAAAAL! Oh maybe not since he is a Goal Stopper.. ” -captkirk42

“ C'est terrible. No matter which language you use, it is terrible. ” -NJDevils

“ the back looks like they gave up. ” -parsley24

“ I feel like it has been a long while since I heard the Soccer game card haters. I wonder if enough time has gone by where this will not cause anger, or if the hatred flies. Not a bad looking card, but I am not a game card fan. ” -muskie027

Set: 2017-18 Panini Crown Royale - Roundball Royalty (Rate)

Card: #RR-35 Wilt Chamberlain

“ Bottom die cuts are challenging to work with for me. The way I hold cards, they tend to slide out of my hand. I never got to see Wilt play, unfortunately, because he was surely one of the best ever. He is one of the few pre-1979 players Panini includes in legends sets. One of my scanners put these pink lines on holofoil. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ This set probably looks great in hand but it looks really bad on scan. Not saying the scan is bad, saying that scanning these types of cards to make them look good is almost impossible. They look too colorful and that's coming from someone who likes all the brightly colored sets from the 80's and 90's. I do like how the back and front have the same shape and I do think in hand this would be a great looking insert card. ” -davidhandberry

“ In some ways, I find the massive amount of cards for retired players, whether Hall of Fame or not, to be excessive. In other ways, I can continue to get cards for former Buckeyes such as Cris Carter, Eddie George, Frank Howard, John Havlicek, and dozens of others to add to my PC. I guess I just wish that there would be at least one or two sets that went deeper into the current rosters like we had back in the day where you could get offensive guards, fifth starting pitchers, and third string power forwards in the sets. ” -Brimose

“ Front too shiny glittery chrome going on. I think there is some text on the front other than the "Spalding" on the ball, but can't for the life of me read any of it. Back is OK. This looks like a die cut card but hard to tell, Front looks like a die-cut back not so much. ” -captkirk42

“ I'm sure this card is exponentially more stunning in hand, but it looks pretty damn awesome in scan, too! ” -mkaz80

“ Nice card ” -SmasherK

“ Icon of "Wilt The Stilt" still hard to believe he once scored 100pts in a single game. ” -RollTide72076

“ Cool die-cut! Fantastic! ” -CollectingAfterDeath

“ The MAN! ” -NJDevils

“ Not sure why, but I am not like something about the look on this. I feel like I should like it, but something is just leaving me wanting. ” -muskie027

Set: 2000 Topps - Limited (Rate)

Card: #139 Brook Fordyce

“ One of the few years in the 2000's I actually liked the design from Topps. The border was nice. I don't think I have ever come across the Limited Editions. Is the only difference between the limited and normal base set the Limited Edition in foil at the bottom of the front? ” -davidhandberry

“ Go White Sox! ” -carthage44

“ So-So front. Some might think this is a special gold variant with the modern foil trends. Back is pretty good. I'm not a fan of color action pictures on the back. If there has to be a photo on back I'd prefer a regular head shot portrait where you can see the face. ” -captkirk42

Set: 2003 Ultra - Double Up (Rate)

Card: #6 DU Barry Bonds / Jason Giambi

“ This same design was used in the NBA- but called Back to Back. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I understand many of the cards in this set, most of them are teammates or country mates. A few of them don't make sense to me. Yes, Bonds and Giambi are both American but most players are. If someone can explain why they were on this card together, please do. As for the card, I hate these back to back cards. I have several where two Braves are on the same card and I have to make a decision on who I have in front in my folders. I usually go alphabetically. So in this set Andruw Jones would be displayed and Chipper Jones wouldn't. ” -davidhandberry

“ Double up on those steroids! ” -kirkscards

“ With all the vertical writing, maybe the card should have been horizontal ” -NJDevils

“ Is this steroid shooting up lingo? ” -parsley24

Set: 2002 Donruss Best of Fan Club - Franchise Features (Rate)

Card: #FF-31 Ivan Rodriguez

“ It is good for a insert set. I can't tell if that is a memorabilia piece where the Rangers logo is. If so it raises it, in my opinion. If not that is a pretty bad design choice. ” -davidhandberry

“ Nice Pudge card, but overall kind of boring as a card design. ” -captkirk42

“ I see nothing I like on this card. ” -jayoneill

Set: 2019 Bowman (Rate)

Card: #47 Maikel Franco

“ I like it...busy, but it works for me. A very "Toppsish" design, no mistaking what decade this card was produced in. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Front is nice. Back, I hate Bowman backs. ” -davidhandberry

“ 2019 Bowman reminds me some of 2019 Topps. They both have that "faded see through" border thing going on. I would be OK with it if the border was a solid color not a semi-clear computer graphic design. Back is OK, needs more stats not just last years. ” -captkirk42

“ This design makes the card look like it is off-centered. I like the design though except for that aspect. ” -702tpr777

“ From a design standpoint, I'm pretty much at peace with Bowman these days. They are what they are, which is not terrible but not exactly memorable. I just wish the base set was more than 100 cards. Bowman used to give us large checklists back in the '90s. ” -mkaz80

“ High tech rad looking ” -Paullilko

“ Nice looking card. The player on the front really stands out from the back ground. ” -CollectingAfterDeath

“ Ahhh the Bowman that looks like the 18, like the 17, like the16 ” -parsley24

“ What has happened to the once popular and highly coveted Bowman brand, which were THE sets to have for star players' best rookie card(s). ” -Alomar_Collector

“ Just sent to AAA! ” -Tylergallo

Set: 2012 Grandstand Midwest League Top Prospects (Rate)

Card: #NNO Jorge Bonifacio

“ Has been mostly a bust, especially since his 80 game suspension for testing positive for a banned substance. Always happy to see a minor league card come up on RCOTD. They are much more innovative than major league cards. This card front isn't my favorite but at least it is unique. I really like the back though. 6 out of 10 for the front, 9 for the back. ” -davidhandberry

“ I appreciate cards with non-white bordering ” -NorthernTouch

“ From non-drafted free agent to top prospect and a big league career. Not too shabby. Back in the minors though now. ” -vanstryland

“ OK minor league card but could use some improvements. Front isn't terrible but I think the players name should be more prominent. Maybe have it across the bottom? Border frame only 3 sides is OK but a bit odd. Team name is there but a logo would be nice. Back pretty good, OH there is the team logo. ” -captkirk42

“ I do not like this design at all ” -biggiofn7

“ Pretty nice looking for MiLB. ” -muskie027
