Random Card of the Day

Year: 1990

Set: Grand Slam Texas League All-Stars (Rate)

Card: #11 Jeff Barns

“ Barns was drafted in the 15th round during the 1987 MLB Draft by the California Angels. He played in the minors with the Angels, Indians and Athletics but never made it higher than Triple A. Career Minor League Stats: 1,610 At Bats, .265 Average, 7 Home Runs and 164 RBI. He was a true utility player like this card suggests as he played SS, 3B, 2B, 1B, OF, C and even pitched in 10 games. ” -carthage44

“ Not a bad card design at all. The border color on the front is interesting, I like seeing usual colors as borders. The back of the card seems like it might have been copied off the Star NBA sets. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Not too shabby of a card even if it is Texas league! What utility is he? Electric or water works? ” -addysdaddy

“ A real Texas Leaguer! When I was 14 my family drove from Arizona to Arkansas and passed through Midland. I tried to get my dad to stop so we could go to a Midland Angels game, but he declined. My missed opportunity to see Jeff Barns in action. ” -jackal726

I really need to proofread before I submit my comments...I meant UNusual colors!

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.
