I agree completely
switzr. If people
don't get the bug
when they are kids
they probably
aren't going to
when they are
adults. And I also
agree with
uncaian. I love
watching Sid play
but I really hate
him and the
Penguins and Alex
Ovechkin as well
since the NHL
favors them so much
in their
punishments. I
like the card. It
looks like it's got
a sticker of Sid
and the Penguins
logo.

As a Devils fan, I have utmost respect for Crosby. Gretzky is the one the league put a hands-off policy on. I have seen Crosby and Ovie get hammered many times, many times after the whistle.

I've seen Ovie
deliver a couple
cheap shots this
season alone that
would have gotten
other players a
suspension. Crosby
may get hammered,
but he gets
preferential
treatment. Nobody
can deny that. I
know he's the most
popular player in
the league and the
best player on the
ice every time the
Pens play, but I
still can't stand
him, the Penguins
or Ovie.

here here on the crosby. pens fan, not a crosby fan. Mind you I've been a pens fan since lemieux jagr lineup. Ovie... not sure on my disposition yet. and do remember that the last cup the pens won was against detroit. everyone else seems quite able to defeat the "favoritism" given these players... plus Fleury is really ... not that good....

I thought the Pens should have picked up Brodeur when he first became available. Fleury is another Luongo. Get that first goal and you are in their heads. Broduer possibly could have taught Fleury how to mentally play the game.

Broduer would have done Kiprusoff some good as well. anyone who thought fleury a fluke goalie should have watched the 2004 playoffs with the flames. the guy used up his lucky horse shoe within one season and then it was miraculous save, 4 goals against that he should have stopped simply.
Calgary is the home team... kinda can't NOT know about them....

Brodeur sure hasn't
looked like a
washed up 42 year
old goalie his last
couple of games.
It shouldn't hurt
Allen or Elliott to
learn from him in
St. Louis.

Fleury has been in the league 10 years, I don't think he can be taught any more. And as long as he has the league's best offense in front of him, he'll never be another Luongo.
