Year: 1975

Set: Topps (Rate)

Card: #165 Doug Rader

“ Great color scheme. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Somebody gave poor Doug the wrong directions to the Astrodome. ” -switzr1

“ Classic set. ” -vrooomed

“ I was 10 when these came out- I remember not being able to focus on my school work after walking into the candy store at lunch time and seeing a brand new box of 1975 Topps cellos sitting there. Yet another Topps issue that would have been better served without the facsimile autograph. ” -Dave Sosidka

“ Topps 1975 the first year starting collecting cards. One if my favorite designs. ” -goldeneye

“ One of my all time fave sets. Still need to complete it as well as it's mini parallel set. ” -captkirk42

“ One of my least favorite sets. All because of some of the uncomplementary color combos. Some of the background color combos were hideous. And sometimes that was compounded by a clashing team name color. Everything else I like; the little baseball, name font, facsimile signature, team name style, photos. ” -C2Cigars

“ One of the first baseball sets I actually tried to collect & one of my favorite sets. ” -uncaian

“ SO VERY GOOD!!! ” -carthage44

My first pack of cards. Never came close to even working on the set. 10 years old when I opened it. Nice simple design and love the MVP subset

Trying to acquire one card for every for every set, insert, parralle, minor, euro, team issue, oddball etc sets produced for Hockey. Been an interesting project.

Always loved this. MVP subset. I liked the goofy colors. The first set I went back to complete as an adult. It took a few years, but I got there.

I actually did two sets at one time a couple of years ago....a bad one and a nicer one...it is pretty tough to find nice ones at the normal shops in town

The "Red Rooster" was a solid player.    Nice card.

...had to scroll down the 'random card of the day' list pretty far to find a REAL ONE.
