NJDevils - Of course I love these! As I stated, all the info we had was what the team provided, and it looks likethe "Irates" provided full info (at least for this player). And I'm glad his hands and bat didn't cover the TE on his jersey, then it would have been a team of accountants ("the Iras").

Parsley24 - Unless they were re-packs, no, Star Co cards were not available at Costco. And the likelihood of there being re-packs of 1989 cards in "the late 80s" would be some pretty quick turnaround. They sold well, but not that well. We did have some sets in Toys R Us in the late 80s, but no MiLB stuff. Maybe that was another MiLB card producer you're thinking of.
