Year: 2012-13
Set: Score (Rate)
Card: #81 Nathan Gerbe
“ I can't remember if I said it here recently or on Cardboard History, but the 2012-13 Score set is one of my favorite NHL sets. It's large, it's colorful, it gives full career statistics (I think), has a season highlights subset, about the only thing missing to make a perfect set is coaches, team cards and checklists. Oh, and the photography's good too. It's probably my second favorite NHL set after 1990-91 Pro Set, but this one may eventually overtake it as I got to see most of the players in this one actually play...where the Pro Set issue came too many years before I officially discovered the sport in 2016. ” -Billy Kingsley
“ Those Ducks uniforms were nasty. He played in the AHL for Columbus last year after playing in Switzerland. Did play in 2 games for CBJ this year. ” -IfbBirdsCards
“ I don't get around to doing RCOTD every day but it seems like almost every time I end up doing one it is hockey, which makes no sense because out of the major sports, hockey and soccer are the only ones that I never collected. As for the card, I miss Score for baseball but besides the nostalgia I feel the card is pretty lackluster, rather the team name than the conference on the front. The position on the front would be nice. The back is nice. Probably a 3 for the front and a 8 for the back. ” -davidhandberry
“ Good ol' Score, how I miss thee. Panini was SO much more entertaining for me. Nice front on this set, the backs a little to cluttered, messy for my liking but a solid 7 here. ” -ranfordfan
“ Big fan of the Sabers logo. ” -carthage44
“ At first I thought it might be a vintage card. It has that feel to it. ” -kirkscards
“ Nice Score Card for Hockey. No complaints from me. ” -captkirk42
“ LET'S GO BUFFALO!!!!! This is a very nice looking card. I can't believe ho much I like it, and that is not just because it is a Sabre. Score in general puts out a lot of nice looking cards. Oh my, I think my heart just skipped a beat. Is that a Panini card with full career stats on the back? Someone at Panini must have lost their job for that lapse in judgement!!! ” -muskie027
“ not a bad design, would've like to seen this design in football compared to what they did in 2013 ” -Thunderfoot
