Year: 1970

Set: Brooke Bond The Saga of Ships (Rate)

Card: #8 Golden Hind

“ I absolutely love it. You'll probably think I'm crazy but whenever I see these old sailing ships, I have this feeling of yearning, like a sadness for something lost...like I can hear the wood creaking, smell the sea air and the squawk of seagulls. Yet this makes no sense, because I haven't experienced it...so I can't have lost it. Doing geneology it's been discovered that some of my direct ancestors did live and work on sailing ships, although a bit later than Drake. Perhaps cell memory is a real thing? ” -Billy Kingsley

“ I think the art work on brooks bond Tea cards is a little weak. ” -kirkscards

“ Another cool Tea Card, not tobacco as first split second thought was, but remembered a card from a week or two ago that was a more modern "tea" card. ” -captkirk42

“ Sweet! This would have been a fun set to have added to read the fun narratives on back as they were entered! ” -bkklaos

“ I have always loved sailing ships, and this is a beautiful card. But not my thing. And it should really be about 100 years older. ” -Vvvergeer

“ Nice stuff! ” -cjjt

“ Another great example of cool stuff that could be made into card sets! Not bad, but nothing I would seek out. Would have liked to see something on the front that tells me what I was looking at, maybe even in small font in the white border, but a cool card nonetheless! ” -muskie027

Nice to see that there are trading cards

for people who don't enjoy sports. I myself prefer

sports.
