Year: 1989-90

Set: TG Racing Masters of Racing (Rate)

Card: #136 Neil Castles' Car

“ Love this set. Covers the early history of the sport better than any other. (Despite the somewhat non-sequitur nature of this writeup) I used to like this guy based solely on the fact that he had a funny nickname, and drove a car with a zero in front of the number, something I've always gravitated towards for some reason. Then I found out more about him, and let's just say I'm no longer a fan. Actually one of my least favorite people in the sport's history in fact. Became a Hollywood stuntman after leaving NASCAR and worked there well into the 1990s. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ Nice racing card. I admit I laughed at the title "Soapy" on the front of the card. Now I'm wondering how he got that nickname. ” -captkirk42

“ Brrrrm brrm brrrrrrrrrrrrrm !!!! ” -YoRicha

“ I like it. Cool car photo on the front. Informative back. And his name is Soapy. What's not to like? ” -switzr1

Cool Thanks.

His nickname came from his early days racing in the soapbox derby.
