Year: 2008

Set: Topps Moments & Milestones (Rate)

Card: #52-136 Gary Sheffield

“ So much boring. ” -ShoTime

“ If you talk about the worst sets of all time, this has to be in my top 5 and maybe number 1. I have sat here and stared at this card for about 2 minutes trying to find something I like and I have come up with two things, Gary was a former Atlanta Braves player and I like the little design things below the player and beside the number on the front and scattered around the back. Besides that let's just go over some of the many things I hate about these cards. There are so many parallels and numbered cards (in fact every card in the set is this way), duplicate picture on the front (especially a hazy version of the original, so much whiteness, no team name or logo on the front, no position on the front. The back would be alright for an insert card but for a main set card you want stats at least for the current year, besides that it is average. I would give the front a 1, the back a 5 and overall the card a 0 because of the way the set is setup. ” -davidhandberry

“ I don't get it, did he hit 136 home runs or 450? ” -Gunny

“ 136 home runs doesn't seem like a career accomplishment worth celebrating, but wait, the back of the card says 450 career home runs, but it's card number 52. This is simple, so I'm only going to say it once. If it's a milestone card, put the milestone on the front of the card. SMH. ” -vanstryland

“ Another all white card. SN is cool, but this isn’t getting me excited. ” -muskie027

“ Still working on the 2007 and 2008 Moments and Milestones set. If anyone has any, or would like a starter set, contact me. ” -Dave Sosidka

“ This card reminds me of my elementary school pictures that is a picture of yourself and a silhouette of yourself in the background. ” -SandersFan

“ Some months back we had one of these Moments and Milestones cards. Maybe not from the same year but I think we had one. I'll say again what I probably said then. I don't like these since there are several dozen or more cards that are the very same card with the exception of which number Home Run the card is or whatever record the player broke. Several dozen cards with the same exact picture everything the same except for one number on the front and it isn't the serial number. Very boring and a waste of time and materials. ” -captkirk42
