Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is it ok to add entries for stamped buybacks?
  • Stamped buybacks are older, circulated cards that are acquired by a company, stamped with a logo, and then resold.

If the original card is a major, licensed release and it is stamped and reissued by the same major, licensed company and included with their current products, then these sorts of stamped buyback entries are allowed.

If re-issuer is an unlicensed third party not associated with the original release, then these sorts of stamped buybacks are not allowed.

Many times, it's not possible to know which cards were bought back and inserted into products. If you find one that's not listed, submit an inaccuracy report from the set's page with the details of the card to get the buyback added to the checklist.
