I am in need of expert advice from our amazing members and/or admin. I am almost ready to start entering my "collection", one more monster box to sort. My collection is all over the place so I need to start focusing.
My questions are: What is the best way to show that every card that I enter is a card that I am willing to sell or trade. Everyone of them. I will add my PC later. As well, when a transaction is completed, does my list get automatically updated or do I have to do it manually.
Any other advice on the most efficient ways to get this info out there would be appreciated.
Love the Database.

One way of doing it is adding cards by set if you have a lot coming from a set. Using Collection Summary then Add/Update you enter the card(s) into your Collection (like you were keeping it). Then you can use the drop-down menu t transfer all cards to your FS/T list. If you only have 1 or 2 cards to enter it may be easier to just use the radio button and select "Move all cards in Collection to For Sale/Trade list".
After a trade proposal is accepted you just need to:
1. Package Sent (it'll mark your cards as In Transit from your Collection)
2. Package Received (when you do it it'll add the cards sent to you into your Collection and remove from the senders; when the sender does it the opposite happens)
3. Transaction Completed (once both do this the entire transaction will show as Completed and move from the In Progress tab; once either person does it then feedback can be left)
It is important that both sides follow the steps. If not then you will need to go in and do it manually to ensure accuracy.

Welcome,
I'm the 1st to see the post, sure you will get individual advice.
1. I add everything at once. So as cards/sets are entered, I continue to add and make dupes my trade / sell list. If you look at the drop down you have plenty of options.
2. If you add a card to T/S it will be there for all to see. Once you make a trade, provided you follow the required step by step process, all cards will switch from one trader to the other.
Just the tip of the iceberg.

Exactly what jimetal said. I added my traders first, by sport and by year and brand. Just checkmark all of the cards you have in that set, then use the dropdown above the 1st card in the checklist to "move all cards in collection to for sale/trade list". Then when you go to add your PC, you just checkmark all of the cards you have that you want to keep. But if you have your cards sorted by team or person, you can do it the same way, just from the team or person's page instead of the set page. The top dropdown list is a different one but also a good one to know what's done from that one. Learn both of the dropdown features and you'll breeze through adding your cards here, no matter where they should be in your collection.
Trade is a different thing, but the replies above give you a good idea of how that works. Enjoy the site!

Add all your cards to Collection. Then on Your Collection page, scroll to the bottom and you'll see "Move this whole collection to your For Sale/Trade list".

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Robert “It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.” ― A. Bartlett Giamatti robertkimble.us/tradingcards

He means in the single card listing (and "Add Multiples"). Click the "Arrow box" beside to the check box to bring out the list to get you to the "Add Multiples" selection. That does help when you have 2+ copies of the same card to trade away.
