Hopefully your LCS is better organized (or better run) than the one we drove past on our way home from our parent/child golf tournament. This is the same shop I slammed 5 years ago for not "participating" in the Spring Fever promotion (I had about 20 SF cards to redeem but because I didn't buy from them, they wouldn't honor the promotion and give us the packs - they would only give us one - between the 2 of us). I figured, 5 years, let's give them another shot.

If you're expecting more of the same, you won't be as disappointed as I am.

They didn't get them in or couldn't find them, or liked them better than other protions and wanted to keep them all (pure conjecture on these). They claimed what they thought was them wasn't. But, they had "last year's" and gave us 1 each. Hey, for free, I won't complain about that.

However, they weren't even last year's NBCD cards. They were 2017 Topps Holiday cards.

Anyway - why is this being written about in the B/S/T forum? Well, I wanted to see if anyone here wanted the "hits" from the packs (or the base cards for that matter) before they get set aside or put on ebay.

My nearest shop was well organized.  I got my free pack, my bonus Judge card, and also $5 in free singles for spending $15 from the loose card boxes (a special extra deal the shop ran).  The shop was busier than I've ever seen it. Lots of kids in there with parents. A fun outing for my brother and me.

I picked up my free pack from my card shop, and got a second pack at a card show. I didn't get a Judge since the shop required that I buy $10 worth of card packs.  That was new. In the last 2 years it had just been spend $10 in the store. I didn't mind spending $10 but I wasn't interested in trying my luck on packs, so I passed. Once the cards get listed on Sportlots I'll fill out the set. Nice cards. 

Got my free pack + $6 worth of interesting card singles, including my great uncle's 1956 Topps card

I went to the Orioles game that night and decided to stop at a store a little out of the way. For some reason, it was closed! It said it was open till 6 online (4:00 when I got there) and it looked like it was open at some point today. Ended up going in the opposite direction to Ellicott City. They had the right cards and everything. They might’ve become my favorite store as they had more newer cards than the store in Laurel and kept packs behind the counter.
