Hi all,
I am one card away from finally completing the Topps 1982 master set. My white whale appears to be the Tom Seaver #346a ERR card which is listed as:
"ERR: end of fifth line, "the" should be "tied"
I have the relatively common "t ed" #346b ERR, but I have been hunting for the #346a variation for a few years now. Does any one on the forums happen to have one for sale or trade? Thanks!

I question whether this card actually even exists. I can find no mention of it on any site other than this one and the image that is there appears to be photoshopped. I'd love to pick one up as well, but I've pretty much stopped looking.

Always looking for baseball variation/error cards and anything Garrett Whitley or Ian Anderson

The member who uploaded the image in question is still active on this site, logging in last on Saturday. It may not hurt to send them a message asking if the scan came from a card they had in hand or another source - if they have it in hand, at least there's proof of it's existence.

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

The "the" card is certainly doctored. I agree to contact the original supplier of the image.

The original supplier of the image is well-known for grabbing images (not even always scans) from other sites and then uploading them here. I can't even count how many of that members images we've had to get removed over the years. (Famous for cards missing partial serial numbers.) I seriously doubt anyone will get a suitable response. (However, I'd like to be proven wrong on this one.)

PSA lists only two versions; "t ed" and "tied".

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I've removed it from my wantlist because I'm convinced it doesn't exist.

I too have been searching for this card. Oddly there are 170 listed in members collections, 130 or so IN collections and the rest wanted.
